Driver of the Month July 2017

Congratulations to our Driver of the Month for July 2017, Thanapat! He really goes the extra mile for his passengers – even if it means running to immigration with a forgotten briefcase!

Based in Bangkok, Thanapat has been a professional driver for almost six years. His drives aren’t limited to the city, though. “I drive both in the city and up the country, i.e. Pattaya, Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, and wherever guests want to go.”

When asked what is special about Bangkok, it’s no surprise he mentions the temples. With over 400 of them around the city, you certainly have your work cut out for you when deciding what to visit!
As well as a selection of temples, Thanapat recommends the food in Thailand. Especially the fruits.

“I parked my car and ran fast to the immigration officer”

All drivers who become Driver of the Month receive consistently high ratings from their passengers. Thanapat says his passengers rate him well because he checks all the details and makes guests as happy as possible.

But we know that there’s a bit more to it! We asked him to share a story from his time as a driver. He had this one for us:

“It was such a great challenge when I was asked to deliver a briefcase to a Japanese guest who had left it behind. It was Friday afternoon, with heavy traffic, and there was not much time left for me, but I managed to do it.  When I arrived at the airport, I parked my car and ran fast to the immigration officer to hand over the briefcase to the guest. It was the final call for boarding. I was very happy.”

We are proud to be working with such a dedicated driver and look forward to many more years together. Thank you, Thanapat!
