A female chauffeur? Definitely a big plus

Oksana Stenyushyna has been a professional driver for only a couple of years. But during this short time, she’s grown her business and inspired more women to become chauffeurs.

Why did you choose to be a chauffeur?

I have a great interest in the different service industries, one of them being the chauffeur industry. I thought it looked like an interesting field to work in, so I took the exam, received my necessary licenses, bought a car and began driving my first customers.

What is it like to work in the chauffeur industry as a woman?

It is definitely special that I am a woman in this profession. Actually, it’s a big plus. It’s very unexpected to have a female chauffeur behind the wheel, so most customers are delighted and surprised. They often start asking why I got into this profession and immediately we have something to talk about.

What do you like about your job?

I like meeting so many different people from all over the world. I find it important to present the perfect chauffeur look, so I put a lot of thought into my outfit each day.

I definitely have big plans for the future: I want to keep growing my company, both in terms of vehicles and employees. And since I find being a woman chauffeur such a big plus, I am currently hiring two more female drivers.

Do you have a favorite car?

Mercedes-Benz. I just love them, particularly the Mercedes S-Class. For me, there’s no other choice as a chauffeur.

What’s your message to other women who are thinking about working in the mobility industry?

I think it’s great when women become chauffeurs. This is an industry where women can still gain a lot of ground and our communication skills come in very handy. Three things are key for me in this industry: elegance, reliability and professionalism.
