Blacklane Enters Partnership with Sixt

Our CEO and founder Dr. Jens Wohltorf talks about the closing of Blacklane’s latest financing round  and entering a partnership with premium mobility services provider Sixt.

Expanding Horizons

I am delighted to announce a new partnership between Blacklane and Sixt, a leading international provider of top-tier mobility services. The agreement, which will be first rolled out in the U.S., will see Blacklane’s services integrated into the Sixt app. There, our premium mobility offering will soon be available to guests. In addition, our partnership gives Blacklane access to Sixt’s vehicles and connected services. Both companies will collaborate on international expansion with a special emphasis on North America, which is a key growth market for us.

The Second Closing of Our Latest Financing Round

This partnership represents the second closing of Blacklane’s latest funding, in total injecting a significant double-digit million euros into our mission of delivering peace of mind today for a better tomorrow. Notably, the now completed financing round values Blacklane at roughly 50% higher than the previous one from 2020. The first closing of this financing round saw the support of prominent investors Mercedes Benz Mobility and Gargash Group.

Super-Charging Growth and Innovation

After experiencing a very successful period that saw Blacklane quadruple revenues in 2022 year-over-year, our company will continue to focus on profitable growth. We’re investing in exciting new services such as our City to City program, which connects metropolitan areas via more than 130 routes in 11 countries.

Expanding into North America and Beyond

Together with Sixt, we will solidify our position and extend our footprint across North America. Furthermore, this funding will support our sustainability efforts, as we are committed to delivering 15% of our rides with electric vehicles by the end of 2023, and an impressive 50% by 2025. It’s worth noting that Blacklane has been offsetting all rides since its founding in 2011, showcasing our dedication to environmental responsibility.

This partnership with Sixt is a testament to the confidence we have in Blacklane’s business model and growth prospects. We’re honored to welcome Sixt to our notable list of investors, which includes industry leaders like Mercedes-Benz Mobility, Al Fahim Group, Gargash Group, b2venture, and Alstin Capital.
