Blacklane wins big at prestigious travel awards


More than 1000 guests attended the Business Travel Awards in London, where Blacklane was named the best company in the ground transportation category.

Blacklane was awarded Best Ground Transportation Company at the Business Travel Awards on Monday night.

The BTA, now in its 24th year, celebrates the achievements of companies and individuals working in the business travel industry.

The 2019 ceremony was held at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on Park Lane in London, where 1300 guests were welcomed to a champagne reception followed by a gala dinner.

Chauffeur company Blacklane won the award for Best Transportation Company, a great achievement for the global company, which delivers premium service across more than 500 airports, 300 cities, and 60 countries.

Blacklane was one of five companies shortlisted for the award, which included The Addison Lee Group, Groundscope, TBR Global Chauffeuring, and CMAC Group.

The judges said Blacklane “ticked all the boxes” by offering not only end-to-end executive service, but also carbon offset rides, all-inclusive price guarantees, and a fully-integrated online booking tool.

Blacklane CEO and co-founder Jens Wohltorf said it was an honor for Blacklane to be awarded the Best Transportation Company for 2019 from such a leading and prestigious initiative.

“Thanks so much to the entire Blacklane Crew around the world, all our customers, and the jury,” he said.

“Also, congratulations to all finalists and especially the other winners across the range of categories.”

The Business Travel Awards featured 22 categories, in which multiple organizations and individuals were shortlisted.

Among the BTA 2019 winners was Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, who has partnered with Blacklane to provide premium transportation to its Golden Circle members, which took home Best Upscale Hotel Brand.
