L.A.’s best restaurants to close a deal

Los Angeles has many restaurants suitable for closing a deal. Nonetheless, deciding on which might be the best fit for yourself, your client or your boss, is daunting. Here is a helpful list for the next time you are in search of that perfect L.A. restaurant to close a deal.

Of course, we’ve all heard of the masterful art of closing a deal during a power lunch. In reality, it generally takes a bit more than a daytime meal to seal it. Luckily, there are L.A. restaurants that are a perfect fit for business deals. Some folks might even go as far as saying that some of these places are proven to ensure success! (But don’t quote us on that…)

Sora

Sora is an intimate sushi and omakase restaurant. Find it on the 69th floor of the recently opened InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown. Being the tallest building in Los Angeles makes it extremely popular. Sora offers a refined menu of fresh-cut sushi and prepared dishes presented on the sky-view conveyor belt. Don’t forget to browse the extensive collection of the finest Japanese whiskies or sip on sake while taking in the incredible nighttime views of the city.

Jute

The recently opened 26-acre westdrift Manhattan Beach hotel features Jute, a signature indoor-outdoor restaurant. Locals and guests sip at the 360° bar. Alternatively, one can enjoy a fresh, creative dining experience curated by Executive Chef Octavio Sabado. The restaurant name is inspired by the strong, raw fiber often used for making rope, which is in line with the coastal design of the new hotel. You will find woven chairs scattered throughout the lobby space and string flags above the bar. Taking inspiration from both coasts, Jute boasts an impressive cocktail program. Look forward to a wide selection of innovative and seasonal libations.

STK Los Angeles

Known as a celebrity hot spot, STK Los Angeles artfully blends the modern steakhouse and a chic lounge into one. It offers a dynamic, fine-dining experience with the superior quality of a traditional steakhouse. Located inside W Los Angeles – West Beverly Hills, STK Los Angeles distinguishes itself with a vibrant mix of stylish dining and lounge spaces. Signature menus and world-class service round off the offer.

71Above

A strong contender for the most beautiful restaurant in all of L.A., 71Above is Downtown’s unmissable dining destination. Perched on the top of the US Bank Tower, diners take in stunning 360° views. With gorgeous dishes prepared by chef Vartan Abgaryan, this is the sort of place for power dinners and expense accounts.

The Front Yard

Located in the heart of North Hollywood is the Garland Hotel. Its signature restaurant, The Front Yard, offers a beautiful patio with 1970s-chic decor. An approachable menu celebrates the highly sought after L.A. food trends. At the helm is Executive Chef Larry Greenwood. Dinner favorites include chorizo & burrata flatbread, TFY burger, crispy whole branzino, and carrot risotto. Recently launched (if you happen to head back during the daytime) is Rosé All Day. Here, guests and locals alike can unwind with bottomless rosé for $20 with the purchase of an entree.

Nick & Stef’s Steakhouse

The remodeled Nick & Stef’s provides a great option for those with a penchant for meat. Boasting its own dry-aging room and a wood-fired grill, the modern redesign makes this a swanky Bunker Hill destination. Of course, the steak options are going to be plentiful, but don’t forget about the sides. The Orecchiette Mac & Cheese and the Potato Gratin are both made with Gruyere cheese. We recommend the Caramelized Brussels Sprouts cooked in bacon lardon!

Otium

Otium offers a stunning space right next to the Broad Museum in Bunker Hill, making it great for museum days and pre-theater dinners. Timothy Hollingsworth’s bustling restaurant has solid, reasonably priced lunch and dinner menus. Expect a fine-dining level of cooking with a more relaxed experience. Try the Funnel Cake, topped with foie gras, strawberry and fennel balsamic vinegar. The octopus, served with cannellini beans, chorizo, olives and arugula, is equally tempting.

THE Blvd

Location, location, location. The next two restaurants are right in the heart of Beverly Hills, just steps from Rodeo Drive in the iconic Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel. THE Blvd features local California fare with Mediterranean influences. The 144-seat dining room and 40-seat outdoor patio offer all-day dining and desserts from renowned Pastry Chef Chris Ford.

CUT

The flagship location of CUT by Wolfgang Puck is also located inside Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel. This Michelin-starred restaurant delivers a contemporary twist on the classic steakhouse. The lively, open kitchen highlights some of the most exquisite cuts of beef from around the world. Seafood, shellfish and an extensive international wine list round off the menu. CUT also features a private dining room, Petit CUT, complete with a private VIP entrance. Guests can also enjoy a more casual bar menu and craft cocktails in the adjacent CUT Lounge.

Copper Lounge

Copper Lounge is a sophisticated lobby lounge. It is perfect for both casual and high-stakes business meetings. Within walking distance from FOX studios, you’ll often catch celebrities meeting their agents over dinner and cocktails. A dramatic floor-to-ceiling glass wall reveals the extensive selection of fine wines.  Copper Lounge also offers a curated cigar menu for those who wish to enjoy the beautiful courtyard garden. A decadent way to celebrate a big business win!
