Chauffeur of the Month October 2018

Our Chauffeur of the Month for October is Mustafa in Brisbane, Australia! Read on for the inside scoop on where to go in Brisbane and how Mustafa earned this title.

Mustafa’s hometown is a less hectic alternative to the other Australian state capitals. It still has a buzz of activity in the central business district, but the hubbub is balanced by serene suburbs .

“We are called “The Sunshine State” for a reason. It can get a little too warm for some in summer but I think everyone must experience Queensland sunshine in their life once. The Brisbane River extends from west all the way into the ocean. It wraps around most suburbs. Therefore there are always great river views around the city and hundreds of open spaces and parks available for everyone to enjoy,” Mustafa says.

For those looking to soak in the area’s flora, Mustafa recommends heading to the botanical gardens in the central business district. If you’re looking for uniquely Australian fauna, the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary (the oldest and largest of its kind in the world) is the perfect place to go to get up close and personal with some koalas and wallabies.

Mustafa’s detailed knowledge comes from him being 18 years into his career as a chauffeur, and he got into it by combining his biggest interests: traveling, luxury transportation, and driving. This combination, plus the opportunity to provide excellent customer service, is what initially attracted Mustafa to the industry that had become his passion, and he says passion is also the key to performing your job well.

“Passion will be the driving force behind perfect service for the customer as well as job satisfaction for yourself. Improving communication skills and providing a good service are important things to gain your customers trust.”

And he’s definitely gained his guests’ trust. Here’s what a few of them had to say:

“[Mustafa] did a great job locating us, streets were closed due to a concert, he was in contact the whole time and managed to get reasonably close to our location for the pickup.”
Tim R.

“Absolute professional, absolute gentleman. Absolutely the best. Thank you.”
Grant S.

In another example of his exemplary service, many years ago a guest of Mustafa’s fell while walking down some steps to get to the vehicle. They seemed alright and wanted to go home, but Mustafa insisted they go to hospital, so they agreed to get checked out. Mustafa waited while the guest saw a doctor, and it turned out that the guest had actually broken their arm! Mustafa assured the guest that he would not charge them for the hours he waited, truly going above and beyond the usual duty of care.

“In our profession, making people happy and providing a good service is what brings me significant amount of joy and happiness,” Mustafa says.

Hearing stories like yours brings us joy and happiness as well, Mustafa. Thank you for all the amazing work.
