May was a month of the new: new partners, new cities and new learnings. At the ITB China trade show in Shanghai, we announced three new partners.
- Hainan Airlines chose Blacklane for complimentary airport transfers in seven U.S. cities. Hainan is China’s largest private airline and is the country’s only one to receive a five-star rating by Skytrax for seven continuous years.
- China’s Shouqi Limousine and Chauffeur uses Blacklane for its customers to book transfers in more than 230 cities outside of mainland China.
- Arrture, the Hong Kong-based loyalty programme for the Plaza Premium Group of airport lounges and other airport services, selected Blacklane to be its first chauffeur partner.
One week later, we announced an integration with SummitQwest, the ground transportation management platform.
We also started service in seven new cities! In France, you can now book Blacklane in Bordeaux, Lille and Strasbourg. In Spain, we’re now in Bilbao, Girona and San Sebastian. We also began service in Manama, Bahrain.
In our Berlin office, we held a free session on brand building in cooperation with the Startup Safari. Plus, we hosted the Hands-On Agile Berlin chapter meetup that combined agile coaching with improv theater!
If you’d like to know a bit about the team that’s building Blacklane, read about our developer Javad’s journey from Iran to Finland to Germany and the remote group who writes the code for pricing, payments and billing. If you think co-working and remote working may be for you, read this first.
We also just published a guide to Hamburg from German TV personality Tanja Bülter. She says, “The real beauty of Hamburg lies in the water. If you have a day to fill, you should definitely go to the Övelgönne museum harbour. From the small lighthouse there, you can watch the large ships coming in and out of the city.”
And last, enjoy Warhol, Dali and more. Check out the 7 most iconic cars in famous works of art.
