While Calgary Airport’s IATA callsign YYC, may not seem intuitive, the airport has embraced it, using the callsign as its web address and branding the airport as YYC through its signage. If you plan to navigate its terminals, having an airport map can be a helpful tool.

Calgary Airport lounges

You’ll find airport lounges in both the International and Domestic Terminals at YYC.

Domestic Terminal

Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge

This lounge is open to Air Canada passengers flying in first class or business class, Elite members of Air Canada’s Aeroplan frequent flyer program, Star Alliance Gold members and premium passengers, and holders of various Air Canada-branded American Express or CIBC credit cards.

A wide variety of comfortable seating awaits you at this lounge, including several Arts & Crafts-style mission chairs. The business center, which is well-equipped, features individual cubicles to help you focus on your work. At the hot and cold buffet, you can expect a soup and salad bar and several hot dishes, as well as snacks.

Chinook Lounge

This lounge is available on a pay-at-the-door basis to all passengers with same-day boarding passes for domestic flights only. Priority Pass members also have access to this lounge. Guests can enjoy excellent views of the tarmac or sit around a fireplace. The lounge serves premium beers and liquor on a self-serve basis, but the cold buffet is limited to finger sandwiches and snacks.

International Terminal

Aspire Lounges

You’ll find two Aspire Lounges in Calgary’s International Terminal: one in the international departure concourse and one for trans-border travelers headed to the U.S.

The international Aspire Lounge is open to Priority Pass members and business-class travelers on WestJet. Other travelers can also purchase one-day passes when space permits. Seating options include communal tables, high-top seating, dining booths, and traditional lounge armchairs, many of which enjoy a view of the terminal. A nap area features daybeds, each of which has its own TV as well as a curtain for privacy. Showers are available if you want to freshen up. The hot and cold buffet in this lounge offers a wide variety of dishes and desserts, along with a self-serve bar.

Premium Air Canada passengers can also take advantage of the trans-border Aspire Lounge, which offers private and pod seating among its options. Some dining tables feature individual TVs, so you can watch while you eat, and the hot and cold buffet offers ample and varied dishes. Enjoy a craft beer on tap, or pour yourself a drink from the self-serve bar.

YYC is home to two in-terminal hotels: The Delta Calgary Airport Hotel and the Calgary Airport Marriott.

YYC provides plenty of opportunities for help, relaxation, and entertainment throughout the airport. Take a look at some of the available services at Calgary Airport.

Baggage protection

Luggage storage and lockers are available on the Arrivals level. You must show a boarding pass and photo ID to take advantage of these services. In addition, the Safe Bag packing service wraps strollers, bicycles, or luggage in protective covering for shipping or checking through.

Wellness services

Stop at OraOxygen Wellness Spa to give yourself a boost with oxygen treatments or aromatherapy. You can also enjoy full-body massages, mani/pedis, and facials here, and showers are available for travelers who want to freshen up before boarding. Also in the Domestic Terminal, Taylor & Colt offers haircuts and hot shaves. In addition, self-serve massage chairs are available for a small fee throughout the airport.

Interfaith services

Religious services are provided by chaplains from a wide variety of faith traditions in the domestic terminal. The interfaith chapel, which is on the mezzanine level, is open during daytime hours for meditation and prayer.

Children’s services and amenities

Nursing mothers can find private rooms for changing and feeding babies in Concourses A and C, as well as near the Baggage Carousel on the Arrivals level. In addition, family restrooms in the International Terminal offer baby changing facilities.

Children can get rid of excess energy at playgrounds in all terminals. Look for the play areas at Gates D70, D80, E70, and E82. Add education to your children’s fun at SpacePort, an interactive exhibit that uses communication and computer tech to teach kids about aeronautics and space, and don’t miss the chance to ride in a flight simulator. In addition, Flappers Arcade in Concourse A keeps your little ones entertained with video games and pinball machines.

Look for White Hat Volunteers if you have questions for finding your way through the airport. You’ll be able to identify them by their red vests and white cowboy hats.

Office assistance

Head to The UPS Store in the Domestic Terminal if you need copying or printing services. The store can also help you with last-minute mailing and packaging, or you can pick up any office supplies you may need. Mailbox rental is also available if you pass through this airport frequently.

Domestic Terminal

In Concourses A, B, and C in the domestic terminal, you can find all the practical necessities you need to make traveling more pleasant, as well as some fun gifts. Augment your toiletries kit with a stop at the Benefit Cosmetics kiosk, and you’ll find other health and wellness items at Sandstone Pharmacies. You can update your traveling electronics at Best Buy Express or iStore.
